  • Little did the Delhi Development Authority knew that their phenomenal 2024 schemes for ‘Sasta Ghar’ and ‘Madhyam Vargiya Ghar’ will sell like hot cakes. Over 1200 DDA flats sold in flat four hours of the booking commencement on the very first day itself which was ‘first come first serve’ basis. This impressive turnout highlights the strong demand for affordable and middle-income housing options in the national capital.
  • The response has been uniformly strong across various locations and categories offered under these new housing schemes. In Rohini, 450 flats were quickly acquired, reflecting the area's high desirability. Similarly, Ramgarh Colony saw 100 flats sold, and Jasola's 41 units were booked almost immediately. Narela, a locality that has benefitted from significant governmental investment in infrastructure, recorded over 350 flats booked on the first day.
  • The think-bank of DDA essayed an important role super sale. For the first time, the authority implemented a comprehensive marketing approach that included streamlined online enquiries through its website, easy access to information for prospective buyers, and efficient handling of property-related and ownership documentation. This customer-centric strategy appears to have been highly effective, contributing to the strong sales performance on the inaugural day of the booking process.
Special Emphasis on Narela
  • Narela, a locality that has benefitted from significant governmental investment in infrastructure, recorded over 350 flats booked on the first day.
  • Narela’s burgeoning appeal is bolstered by substantial development projects currently underway, including the forthcoming Education Hub with multiple university campuses, a proposed International Sports Complex, and a new court complex.
  • Enhanced connectivity is also a key factor, with the Ministry of Finance recently approving the Rithala–Narela–Kundli corridor of the Delhi Metro, which is expected to further increase the area’s attractiveness.
All you need to know about DDA Housing Scheme 2024
  • DDA has launched three new housing schemes in Narela, Dwarka, Siraspur, Ramgarh, Rohini, Loknayakpuram and Jasola to provide more than 40,000 flats in affordable, mid-income, and high-income categories.
  • The DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024 and the DDA Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024 were introduced on August 19. Registration for both schemes began on August 22 and will remain open until March 31, 2025. DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024 was launched on August 19, with registrations commencing a day earlier. This scheme will also conclude on March 31, 2025.
  • In order to apply for the DDA Housing Scheme 2024, you have to viist their website, fill up the requisite information like flat size, layout plan and location. Application fee is applicable based on your category of Economically Weaker Section or Low-Income Group.
  • The application money is credited toward the flat's cost. However, it will not be refunded if the application is surrendered or cancelled.
  • Payments can be made using net banking, RTGS, or NEFT. These payments must be made either from the allottee’s bank account or from an immediate family member's account.

This time DDA has offered 40,000 flats for sale under three different projects under LIG, MIG and EWS categories and the officials claimed that one of the biggest reasons for the increase in demand for DDA flats is easy accessibility of metro.
